This lovely bicolor beryl var. aquamarine / goshenite beryl crystal is doubly terminated with no damages. It is a full floater with a top pinnacoid termination that's covered with record keepers. The bottom termination is white or colorless with a micro-etched druzy finish. This is a significant size crystal, weighing 5.365 grams / 26.825 carats and measuring 35.711mm x 8.77mm x 7.74mm. This crystal comes from a Unique discovery that was made in 2004 at the specific location of Baha, Braldu Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan. The 2004 find didn't produce many clear crystals like this one, however, they were mostly all bi-color or white crystals with etched terminations; like this one. The color of this beryl is a very light blue, but still not the lightest blue I've seen from Pakistan. The bottom is white, and so is the helix beam inclusion. The helix beam inclusion isn't quite a spiral, nor a helix, but rather a vertical beam that has little feather-like wisps attached to it like that of a twig with leaves. This is one of my favorite Beryls. This is technically an Aquamarine with a Goshenite bottom termination. Photo#2 shows some extremely tiny micro-enhydro bubbles right beneath the surface. These bubbles are extremely small. This beryl has top clarity and a helix beam that's easy to coax into visibility. Please study the photos and facebook videos.
