This beautiful Aquamarine Crystal cluster was discovered in Erongo, Namibia, South Africa in the early 2000's. The quality of this piece is better in person. It is Unique to the other Namibian Aquas that I've had over the years. This one is transparent with inclusions. By transparent I mean that I can hold the crystal up to a computer screen and read text through it. Among the inclusions are minerals that I haven't identified. There might even be some type of opal in there. There also appears to be micro-enhydro bubbles aligned beneath the inner walls of the crystals body. Down the c-axis there is a series of faint hexagonal chevron phantoms that ,can be observed. (see photo #3 & fb Video). These can also be seen from the AB axis as tornado style wisps of blue haze. The chevron phantom anomaly is one of my favorite characteristics in this piece. This Aquamarine cluster is made up of three individual crystals that naturally grew together. All ends of the crystals are terminated. It is a small display specimen, weighing 6.4 grams / 32 carats & measuring 32mm x 11.98mm x 8.36mm. The luster is sub-vitreous with light etching all over. This skin-type has become a preference for me as a collector. The color is a light greenish blue, with a more solid blue near the chevron phantom area. It is a bit on the pastel side with color. Everything on it is natural and complete. This cluster is an ideal specimen for those who value quality, completeness, and uniqueness.
