This phenomenal Earth Keeper Herkimer Diamond was discovered at a private claim in Fonda NY in 2008. It was and still is the Largest Herkimer Diamond crystal ever found there. This crystal weighs 4 pounds & 7.8 ounces; That's well over 2,000 grams! It measures close to 7.5 inches long and nearly 5 inches at maximum width. It literally dwarfs all other single Herkimer Diamond crystals that we've ever owned; this statement of comparison includes even crystals such as The Oracle, and The Lion of Akasha (previously sold). This is a Metaphysical crystal. The collector value on this piece is very high, but my Heavens there is Power within this crystal. There's obviously many inclusions inside of this Earth Keeper. Among them are skeletal tubes, Rainbows, deep Smoky hues, and bubble chambers. All of these things together give the crystal the ability to Refract Light. Externally this Earth Keeper is in excellent condition. The bottom side, in my opinion is just as interesting as any side (see photo#3). The seemingly rough / dirty areas there are actually micro-etched and recrystallized. All other surface variations on the crystal are healed. The top faces are smooth to the touch. The three largest top faces have the most trigonal record keeper etchings. These layered triangles are slightly raised. These record keepers become visible when light is reflected from the surface of the crystal faces. Photo#7 shows light reflected on the midsection where two micro-etched skeletal keys are conjoined. The surrounding midsection has subtle ladder grooves. This Herkimer Diamond is a smoky crystal. As an ancient Earth Keeper it has undergone some immense geological conditions that has given it some fabulous smoky hues. The crystal is more comfortably held with two hands at once. This is a true tool of divination. For years now we purposely kept this crystal a secret because we didn't have any intention of selling it. Now we are finally ready for the Earth Keeper to find a new keeper of its own. This crystal is our most prized natural artifact. The implications for its usefulness is vast.
