This is the Largest Madagascar Tourmaline slice on our website, and it is also the biggest one on etsy too. It comes from a classic old collection of top quality mineral specimens. This Liddicoatite slice weighs 24.9 grams / 124.5 carats and measures over 2.5 inches in diameter. It is unique in several respects. Firstly, this is a complete crystal slice. All sides are complete. Secondly, the most prominent color within the central sectors is a mossy forest green, surrounded and neighbored by an extremely light pink tinge. Most of the core has superb clarity. The mantle region of the slice is a translucent to opaque dark green that appears almost as black if not viewed with a revealing light source. Some greenish yellow and pink saturation is visible along parts of the outer region / rind of the slice. This particular tourmaline slice was originally purchased from The Great Spiral Gallery, which was a Museum / Shop in California that is no longer in business. Feel free to contact me with questions.
