This listing is for the exact Bi-color Beryl, AKA Aquador crystal shown in the photos. It is 100% natural. This piece here comes from Befotaka Sud District Atsimo-Atsinanana Region Fianarantsoa Province in Madagascar. It weighs 3.782 grams / 18.91 carats and measures 35.06mm x 9.07mm x 6.41mm. This crystal has a beautiful hexagonal prismatic body with a mountain range style etched termination on the Aquamarine end. The heliodor end has an impressively intricate elestial-style etched termination that comes to life when light is reflected off of it. The majority of the crystal is a light pastel blue color that thins out toward the middle then converts to yellow at the other end. It has very good clarity with some Lilly pad inclusions that are visible at certain angles. This is the only Aquador I have that exhibits this type of two tone color zoning. This piece has some natural iron oxide staining on it that can easily be removed by using iron-out or oxalic acid. I do not use chemicals on my crystals for cleaning, so this is why the iron still remains. This is an excellent crystal for beryl collecting. Its natural features make it easily identifiable, and the bi-color anomaly makes it that much more desirable. I acquired this crystal from a friend of mine who got them directly from the broker of the mining operation in Madagascar.
