This is one of our finer clusters. It hasn't been in the collection long, but it sure has earned it's spot quickly. This one weighs a Divine 144 carats / 28.8 grams and measures 37.14mm x 32.61mm x 26.75mm. It is quite impressive, and massive for the quality. This Fine Herkimer Diamond cluster is made up of 6 main crystals and a 7th smaller crystal sandwiched between one bridge and the largest crystal. The Two main crystals have a nice classic Herkimer Quartz shape that is somewhat long, while the 4 smaller cluster crystals exhibit a cumberland habit ( Diamond Shape ). Aside from the supreme luster and gemmy clarity, this cluster has other aesthetic properties that make it a special find. The most obvious feature in my opinion is the Pyrobitumen spheres. They are plentiful and perfectly visible; even to the extent that they can appear to be external of the crystals themselves! These spherical pyrobitmen formations are clustered together like grapes. These solid hydrocarbon inclusions are all 100% internal. The two main crystals in this cluster have a natural smoky tinge to them that is best noticed when the crystals are sat upon a white surface. This smoky tinge is sought after, and is created by anciently dissipated Anthraxolite that saturated the crystal matrix. Speaking of ancient inclusions, this cluster has some very impressive devic temple visuals. There are some very beautiful and illuminating holographic inclusions to be seen. These are better shown in the first facebook video. Inclusions like this are almost always more visible indoors under artificial lighting when there is a balance of light and dark within the room. This cluster has not been glued or repaired in any way. There is a very strange visual anomaly which occurs where the two main diamonds conjoin internally. This area has a very strange and shiny mirco-etched chaotic appearance. It looks almost like crackle quartz, however there is not fracturing. The crystals formed this way on the inside. It actually has me puzzled because I haven't noticed this with Any of my Herkimer Diamonds, and we've had thousands! This cluster is a very dynamic display specimen. It can sit safely in several alternative positions. Each of these positions has something unique to offer. This piece has interesting geometric etching appropriately located to where it doesn't hinder the beauty of the crystals. There are Rainbows to be seen. The Rainbows seem to appear better outdoors. When the seasons change I take my Herkimer Diamonds outside, and they really help me accept change. They work wonders for seasonal depression, and just generally promote well-being. This is a high vibrational cluster. Its' compact size makes it ideal for handling and metaphysical use. This piece holds timeless wisdom. This piece holds ancient archetypes that ignite passion.
