Maine Tourmaline Crystal - Green Elbaite w/ Bent Body from Mt. Mount Mica ME - Healed on both Ends Self Standing RARE Old Stock from 1970's

This listing is for the exact Tourmaline Crystal shown in the photos. All of my Maine Tourmaline comes from my friend Michele. She and her husband self collected these in the 70's at Mount Mica in Maine, USA. This particular green Tourmaline weighs 1.6 grams / 8 carats and measures approximately 13/16 inch long & 1/4 inch wide. It is self standing and Terminated. The termination is a thin flat cap that is a very light green, almost white in color. I have one other crystal like this, but it is much smaller and not bent to the degree that this one is. Bent Crystals are very neat. The color of this tourmaline is light green. It has a bit of a cat's eye sheen to it in person. There doesn't appear to be any damage on this piece. It does have etched areas and many surface variations. This is a nice unique Tourmaline Crystal from an old-time favorite American locality. It would make a nice addition to a thumbnail collection.
