OOAK Handmade Aztec Calendar Beaded Necklace Solid 925 Silver Pendant & Beads w/ Seafoam Mint Green Amazonian Acai Seeds on Natural Leather

This listing is for the exact Necklace shown in the photos and Etsy video. From end to end the necklace measures 28 inches /72cm total length, and the pendant is 44mm / 4.4cm tall. This statement piece looks heavy, but it actually only weighs 57 grams. The Medallion is domed, which goes perfect with the rest of the necklace. My aim was to create a Tonalpohualli Aztec Calendar necklace that honors Mesoamerican culture while being stylish and comfortable to wear. The pendant and the clasp are both stamped 925. In fact every bit of metal on this necklace is 925 sterling silver, including the smaller beads. This necklace is secured with a lobster clasp, however it is long enough to put on and take off without unclasping. The cord I used is natural cow leather, and the colored beads are sustainably sourced Amazonian Acai seeds. The smooth Acai beads are a seafoam / mint / green Turquoise color, which is intended to resemble the Jade stone used in Ancient Mesoamerican jewelry. This necklace contains a total of 26 silver beads and 78 Acai beads. The sterling silver Aztec Calendar Pendant is a Brooch pin that I upcycled by removing the old pin components, then I cleaned and polished it back to life. The level of detail on the pendant is quite good. I searched extensively in order to acquire the perfect pendant for the project. This long necklace promotes a ritual / ceremonial vibe, yet it is simple and flashy in its own way. The 3 different styles of silver bead compliment it well.
