This listing is for the Exact Moonstone specimen in the photos. This particular Oligoclase var. Moonstone was discovered in Middletown, Delaware county Pennsylvania sometime before 1877. This can be ascertained by referencing the address printed on the Albert Edward Foote tag with the mineralogical record website’s log of when A. E. Foote lived at the specific address of 1223 Belmont Ave. Philadelphia PA. This is a historical specimen with rich mineralogical history from both the rare locale and the famous collectors who have owned this piece. The specimen itself is in excellent condition, measuring 6.6cm x 2.9cm x 1.25cm and weighing 38.6 grams / 193 carats. The second label for this Moonstone specimen is another old one from the collection of Andrew G. Toussaint (1906-1974). This specimen is a superb example of Delaware county Oligoclase Moonstone. With its Fair translucency and bright blue adularescent flash this is one of the best Moonstones from Pennsylvania. Feel free to contact me with questions. Metaphysical information is listed below.
